⚬ Description ⚬
This is an archival print of the original collage. Fits standard 8” x 10” frame.
The original piece was cut and pasted by hand from collection of used and vintage books.
When coming across this vintage sloth image, Selina experienced an awakening moment. Somewhere along the way from childhood to our current state, we lost some very important traits. We possessed incredible perceptions, and views that made being a kid fun and exciting. It was a time when our world was all about being happy, and enjoying life. We would climb trees, run around with dirt on our faces and didn't care, loved exploring outside, and only thought about what was happening today.
We got into the mentality of "growing up" and started thinking about serious things – money, jobs, social acceptance. Life was no longer about having fun, it turned into rat race.
When you focus on the present moment, you are much more likely to feel centered, happy, and content. You’re also much more likely to notice the good things that are happening, rather than letting them pass by unappreciated or unobserved.
This collage encourages viewers to regain that inner child and redefine happiness. Stop being an adult and start being a kid again.
