Remembrance Day is a memorial day observed by Canadians and other members of the Commonwealth since the end of the First World War in order to remember all those who have fought and died in the line of duty to keep us free. And during the war, millions soldiers saw the poppies in Flanders fields on the Western Front. Some even sent pressed poppies home in letters. Over 100 years later, the poppy is still a world-recognized symbol of remembrance of the First World War.
This collage not only captures the significance of Remembrance Day, but also encourages viewer to look at life from a different perspective. It is not how long you live, but how you live that is important.
And no matter how much we have, we can’t prevent the inevitable end to our physical lives. We could stockpile clothes, jewelry or other essentials to last the next 20 years, yet get into a fatal accident the next day—and all that stuff would do no good. Earth to earth, ashes to ashes, dust to dust. Therefore, don't make your life just livable, make it memorable.
